26 January 2012. BBC Hausa information and modern-day-affairs programming is now available for listening on Marhaba 99.3 bbc hausa news arsenal FM in Accra thanks to a brand new partnership agreement among BBC World Service and Marhaba FM.
In addition to every day BBC Hausa programmes which includes the morning display, BBC Shirin Safe, and the evening information programme, BBC Shirin Yamma, Hausa-talking audiences in Accra can also track into the BBC Hausa sports activities announcements broadcast Monday to Friday. Marhaba 99.three FM will even rebroadcast BBC Hausa weekly programmes together with the English Premier League statement, Amshoshin Takardun Ku (Listners' Letters) and girls's magazine focusing on motherhood and childcare, Haifi Ki Yaye Da BBC Hausa.
BBC World Service Business Development Manager, West and Southern Africa, Steve Martin, comments: “Listeners have been asking us to make BBC Hausa to be had on FM in Accra for years. To mark the release of BBC Hausa on FM in Accra, BBC Hausa is staging a debate in Accra, asking if a “sub-Saharan African Spring” might be beneficial or important. BBC Hausa Editor, Mansur Liman, says: “We are pleased to be protecting this debate in Accra in the know-how that Hausa-talking audiences here can now concentrate to us in FM exceptional.”
The BBC Hausa debate will be recorded on Friday 27 January and broadcast on the equal day at 19.30 GMT.
